BAD APPLES is a long format television series which looks at the abuse of power by those few individuals who lack the humanity expected of either their position or a reasonable society and the long-term after effects of these betrayals.
A corrupt police officer, attorney or judge is as bad or worse than a murderer because of the violation of the public trust and the endangerment to others which they create.
Originally a feature film scripted as the true story of Officer Karen Novorr’s experience following the conviction of her assailant, fellow police officer turned serial rapist David W. Bryan, the project has evolved.
After being “green lit” for production by one of the major independent production companies, the project was scrapped when the company determined that the subject of Police Officer misbehavior and the reality of the long-term effects of rape was too sensitive a topic.
Although it was argued that the project was more about the “continued rape and abuse” that took place after the physical assault and the PTSD like symptoms and situations in which the victims found themselves, it was still deemed too sensitive and potentially controversial.
As an episodic television project, we can show that while the topics are sensitive and controversial, they are also real and long lasting.
Unlike the average reality show which in reality is heavily scripted, BAD APPLES uses actual testimony, recordings, depositions and victim interviews to tell their stories.
Episodes Currently in Pre-production
